Rachel Dalton - Brigadoonfarm@outlook.com
Hoyt, New Brunswick
Brigadoon Fiber Farm’s sheep pasture outside the farm’s boutique. The fibres in their products are as local as they come. Shorn in the spring, the sheep are relieved of their thick, luscious coats. The local mini mills process the fibre and then Rachel dyes each skein of yarn.
The thrummed mittens are hand knit, two at a time, on knitting needles, then finished with a beautiful label. All of the hand woven goods made with the farm’s wool are hand woven in studio by Rachel herself, a certified artisan weaver.
With all of the products, they focus on details, colour and working the beauty of the wool into each item. They are proud of their products and hope you are too!
“Being able to show our customers were certified Canadian, means we're part of a growing movement dedicated to growing and sourcing local fibres. As part of this movement towards sustainable clothing and textiles we hope our customers can be confident in our products and support all of those farms in the program.”
