FARM INFO: We have a small flock of 40 ewes and our products are all small batch and unique. All of our roving and yarns are milled in Canada, most of it within 40km of the farm.

FARM INFO - The flock on our family run farm is growing and changing as we focus on improving the quality of our fibre, while maintaining a happy, healthy bunch of sheep. We are proud of the care we give our sheep, and enjoy each as an individual, so we add a photo and the name of at least one of the sheep included in the yarn/roving to each item that we sell. We hope that each creator will feel connected to the story of our wool.

FARM INFO - Black Sheep Farm is an organic farm, producing vegetables for CSA members and raising sheep on pasture for lamb meat, fibre, and tanned lambskins. The farm is owned and run by Brenda Hsueh, Skyler Radojkovic, and their daughter Emma.

Black Sheep Farm is an agroecological farm, prioritizing soil health, biodiversity, and social justice. The vegetable garden is no-till, to preserve and enhance soil microbial and fungal life. The sheep are grazed on pasture using intensive managed grazing, to maximize the positive soil carbon capture benefits of ruminants, while producing meat and fibre from something humans can’t eat, grass.

WOOL PRODUCTS - Midpoint Meadows wool is produced from our flock of Rambouillet sheep. The sheep are shorn once a year - then the fun begins! We have chosen to pursue an all-Canadian product. Our wool is sent to New Brunswick to be spun into yarn, some of which is then dyed in small batches of vibrant colors. We sell skeins of natural and colored yarn in both worsted and lopi weights, and occasionally provide raw fleeces to interested spinners.

Our sheep are hand-raised by our family. Whenever safe to do so, the animals are on pastures overlooking beautiful Lake Ontario. They eat grass exclusively during the warmer months of the year. In the winter, they are fed hay made from the fields on our farm as well as a whole-grain ration to give them enough nutrients and energy to stay healthy and to grow high-quality wool and lambs. We give our animals medicines (such as antibiotics and parasite treatments) only when necessary for their health and actively work to minimize medication use. In exchange, the sheep produce a beautiful natural fibre that keeps both our family and our customers comfortable all year long.

WOOL PRODUCTS - We offer a wide range of pure wool products, grown on our farm and milled in Canada. Pure wool pillows, duvets, blankets, toddler pillows in bedding. Lamb and sheep skins, felt yoga mats, felt insoles and various handmade goods. Various weights of our "farm yarn", naturally dyed on the farm in a variety of colours. Felt, roving and batting for crafters and makers. Wholesale inquiries welcome. 

Our family farm cares for a large flock of sheep that lambs year round. We focus on producing quality meat lambs and breeding stock for other producers while also utilizing the wool the sheep grow. We prioritize animal and land care to grow the highest quality Canadian lamb and wool. We love welcoming visitors to our on farm store and to see the lambs and sheep.

WOOL PRODUCTS - We are a small family farm. Lovers of animals and all things outdoors. We’re trying to do our part to tread lightly and be good stewards of our land and animals, while at the same time, bringing healthy sustainable wool products to you and your family. Our wool is harvested from our flock of purebred Icelandic Sheep that are pastured on the hillsides of our farm in the beautiful Beaver Valley, Ontario, Canada.

With plenty of good care and fresh air, our sheep turn pasture and organic hay into beautiful wool! Our sheep all have names and are humanely raised and loved.

Products include: raw fleece, roving, locks, yarn, rug yarn, crafting wool and handmade one of kind knitwear and fibre art.

WOOL PRODUCTS - We are a Guatemalan-Canadian ecological farm in Grey county, Ontario. We produce organically grown vegetables using permaculture and traditional Mayan practices and raise Corriedale sheep. We also serve as a base for the Ecology and Solidarity Council's community-based projects, which are rooted in ecological and social justice principles.
